About MeIn 2003 I finished an MSci in Physics and Astronomy at The University of Nottingham. I then moved to Edinburgh to start my PhD in the (then) Institute of Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences at The University of Edinburgh. I finished my PhD "A modelling approach to carbon, water and energy feedbacks and interactions across the land-atmosphere interface" in 2007 and stayed on to do my first PostDoc position as the 'flying doctor'. This PostDoc position was on the Arctic Biosphere Atmosphere at mUltiple Scales (ABACUS) project. I worked on the airborne research work-package with the (Micro Met) group at Edinburgh. During this time I was privileged to spend many hours happily fitting out and flying in G-GEOS the university's research aircraft.
I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the National Centre for Earth Observation (NCEO). NCEO is a NERC funded partnership of UK scientists and institutions, from a range of
disciplines, who are using data from Earth observation satellites to
monitor global and regional changes in the environment (NCEO homepage). ContactTimothy HillThe University of Edinburgh The Crew Building, The Kings Buildings, West Mains Road, Edinburgh Midlothian EH9 3JN
