My research focuses on the biological control exerted by vegetation over the biogeochemical cycles of carbon, water, and nitrogen. I’m interested in understanding how information from vegetation can be used to model biosphere-atmosphere interactions. I’m particularly interest on the contribution of tropical forest ecosystems to the global climate and how this ecosystem will cope with future global and local changes
